Our Story

Ian started his carpentry career at the tender age of 13, sweeping the floors after school at F Kimberley & Son in Romford, Essex.

Upon leaving school,  Ian secured the position of trainee carpenter at F Kimberley & Sons where he received his full carpentry training, working his way up to become a junior  partner.

Ian then went on to establish I Foster & Sons in 1988 working from a small workshop on Mount Pleasant Farm in Hornchurch. This remained I Foster & Sons base until unfortunately it burnt down in 1991

Not to be defeated Ian relocated I Foster & Sons to larger premises in Benskins Lane, Noak Hill

Where we remained until 1994 when due to expansion I Foster & Sons was again relocated this time  to Spring Gardens Industrial Estate in Romford, Essex where we remain today.
